How It Began
Why we started
When we lost our own pets, we found that the options available felt clinical, rushed, or impersonal. We wanted something different — a service that felt as gentle and unhurried as the love we had for them.
Oak & Ember was born from that experience. We set out to create a pet aftercare service rooted in compassion, transparency, and genuine care — one that honours the deep bond between pets and the families who love them.
Today, we serve families and veterinary clinics across Selangor and the Klang Valley, bringing the same quiet reverence to every farewell, no matter how big or small the companion. We are the first to have mobile aftercare services where we can come to YOU, at your doorsteps, and perform the necessary aftercare services, right at your doorstep!

Founder & Lead Aftercare Specialist
Kathy founded Oak & Ember after her best buddy lost her golden retriever, and finding no service that felt right. She brings warmth, patience, and deep care to every family she works with and is a lifelong cat owner herself.
Fionna
Aftercare Coordinator
Fionna manages our day-to-day operations and vet clinic partnerships. A lifelong dog owner, she understands the quiet grief that follows a small companion's passing.
